In a couple hours, I'll be on a plane headed to jolly old London, UK. I foresee a lot of picture taking, walking and beer drinking in my future.

WHY ARE PANDAS SO CUTE????

It snowed in DC, and the pandas were very happy. I kind of miss snow. Kind of.

My former employer made the headlines today. I'm glad they took a stand.

Lawyer's Group Says Bush Exceeds His Powers

By ANNA JOHNSON, Associated Press Writer

Mon Feb 13, 3:42 PM ET

The AmericanBarAssociation denounced President Bush's warrantless domestic surveillance program Monday, accusing him of exceeding his powers under the Constitution.

The program has prompted a heated debate about presidential powers in the war on terror since it was disclosed in December.

The nation's largest organization of lawyers adopted a policy opposing any future government use of electronic surveillance in the United States for foreign intelligence purposes without first obtaining warrants from a special court set up under the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

The 400,000-member ABA said that if the president believes the FISA is inadequate to protect Americans, he should to ask Congress to amend the act.

Bush and his administration have defended the warrantless eavesdropping, saying it is needed to fill a gap in U.S. security and is allowable under both the president's constitutional powers and the congressional measure authorizing him to go to war in September 2001.

The ABA has urged Congress to affirm that when it authorized Bush to go to war, it did not intend to endorse warrantless spying.

GO PILSUNG KOREA! DAE HAN MIN KOOK!

Today I went to the SouthKorea-CostaRica exhibition soccer match in Oakland. It was pretty freakin' fun. Except that we lost. But besides that, it was thrilling. The stadium was filled with screaming Korean and Costa Rican soccer fans- I'd say the Koreans outnumbered the Costa Ricans 4:1. We were all wearing red, a ton of people had those crazy blow up sticks that are incredibly loud when banged together, and everyone screamed and chanted like crazy. The best part was the guy with the megaphone repeating "dae han min kook" over and over again to the tune of Ode to Joy.

Here are some pictures:

Running up (down?) the field

Some kind of kick thing happening

Sarah and I had fun

Sarah, my cousin James and I in the parking lot, still proud despite the defeat.

Next week South Korea is playing Mexico in LA. That's going to be wild. I wish I could go.

I am totally OBSESSED with DancingWithTheStars. Seriously. After the long and horrendous week, on Thursdays I wait in eager anticipation for 8PM. And then for the next hour and a half, I'm enthralled as I watch "stars" and professional dancers samba, waltz, rhumba, foxtrot, jive, quickstep and tango their way into my heart. The remaining "stars" are crazy Lisa, forever one of my favorite 49ers Jerry, beautiful but bland Stacey and AWESOME HE'S THE BEST DREW. I am seriously distressed that I'm going to be in London the week of the finals. You think they have some kind of satellite feed?

So there's this girl from college whose xanga I read sometimes. I don't really know her that well, but I still read it, because, well, I'm a loser. Anyways, whenever she writes about her significant other, I want to puke all over myself. And yet, I still read. It's like a train wreck. I can't help but stare. It's so fantastically cheesy. If I'm ever that cheesy on my blog when/if I start dating someone, everyone who reads that has permission to bitch slap me. Seriously.

Oh look, the VDay bitteress has kicked in early this year!

I'm going to London for spring break!! WHOO! My first time in Europe, I am very excited. It'll probably be cold and rainy. But I don't care.

Some pictures:

Babysat Carol and Christine last weekend. We put pants on her head.

And then on my head.

Jason proved to us how secure in his masculinity he is. Those earrings look good on you man.

When I go to the gym, frequently I see this girl, who Sarah and I have starting calling "skeleton girl." It's seriously so sad. I've never seen a thinner, more emaciated person in my entire life. You can see the cords in her arm muscles, because there's absolutely no fat. Her mouth and nose look they they are protruding, because her cheeks and eyes are so sunken in. She's on the elliptical when I get on, and still going when I get off. Then she does a bunch of other exercises. I can't help but stare, and can't help but feel so sorry for her. Why is she so thin? Why does she feel a need to exercise so much? Doesn't she have anyone in her life to tell her that she looks unhealthy and ill? It's very sad.

I was driving today when I saw an Asiana grandma, with a small child on her back. He was riding piggyback, with one of those long, wide wrap thingies wrapped around her and him, to help hold him up. I'd like to think that the lady on the sidewalk was a Korean grandma, holding her grandchild, holding him to herself. It made me smile, and brough unexpected tears to my eyes. We used to have a pink one of those wraps, that my halmonee would use to hold one of the kids she used to babysit. She used to walk around the house, with a toddler on her back. She loved us so much. I really regret not appreciating her more when she was alive.

StephanieTanner is a meth head? What? Remember the episode when she crashed the car into the house? And how she always used to say "How rude!" I freakin' loved that show, and I really identified with Stephanie. We were both middle children and odd. I hope she makes a comeback. FullHouse 4 Ever!

This morning I woke up an hour earlier than I was supposed to. I showered and got ready, all while I was watching the clock to make sure I left on time. I didn't realize that it was an hour earlier until I got downstairs. Lame. Lame lame lame.

There's a news story floating around about how researchers have discovered a gene that gives people in Asian countries dry earwax instead of sticky earwax. I never realized that there was really a difference-- I just thought earwax was earwax. It turns out that I have white people's earwax. I'm a Korean freak. I should ask my siblings what they have. Maybe I'm adopted.

The Olympics are coming up. When I was little, I was an Olympic freak. I mean, I was so excited about them and watched all the competitions and sat through the whole Opening Ceremonies and crap like that. Now, I could give a crap. I think it's because when I was little all the athletes were older and I looked up to them. Now they're all younger than me and just remind me that I am spectacularly untalented.

I'm blogging right now because I really really really want to avoid reading civil procedure.

I really want to watch GoodNight and GoodLuck, WalkTheLine, MrsHendersonPresents, and that movie with Paul Walker about the dogs.

Does anyone know the scientific reason why your pee smells after you eat asparagus? Does it happen to everyone?

When I grow up I want to be a lawyer or a caterpillar.
