Hello! happy black friday! i hope everyone had a wonderful wonderful thanksgiving. mine was GREAT. our mashed potatoes and stuffing rocked. they were seriously soo good. and dinner at ron's place in chicago was awesome. mad props to ron and hanyul for giving up their apartment, more props to all those who cooked, and SUPER DUPER MAD props to christinebyun for being the most organized, sweet, talented, loving woman ever. we all stuffed ourselves silly. also, we watched legally blonde AND bring it on, and then me and sarah and julie and jason watched harry potter 2! it was so good, even the second time around. also, if you go to watch it, make sure you stay through all the credits. just lettin' you know....

today was also a good day. i woke up at 11, and then ate some thanksgiving leftovers. awwwwwyeah. thanksgiving leftovers are about as good as the actual thanksgiving meal. after that, julie and i were uber productive and studied for hours. it felt good. hooray! hannah is a productive student!! at least for a day. for dinner, we ate at noodles and co. afterwards, i felt sick. but it passed. OH, and we also went to wherehouse music, where i bought two dvd's..... oh man, do i have the money for two dvd's?? no, i don't! but i bought "royal wedding" with fred astaire for only 5 bucks! i also bought the two disc special version of "singin in the rain"! that was a little expensive.... but so worth it...

so guess what else i did today? i smoked the hooka! crazy! i don't think i like it that much. interesting, but just not my thing.

i didn't go shopping today. thank goodness. many people reading this probably know this about me, but i hate crowds. and lines. so just thinking about shopping the day after thanksgiving makes me want to collapse. but i know people who actually do crazy stuff like shop the day after thanksgiving.
WAIT! i did go shopping today! at wherehouse music! but i don't think that really counts. cause wherehouse music ain't no michigan ave/old orchard/valley fair type of day after thanksgiving hell.

i'm going to go do a load of laundry now. goodbye, trolley people!!

hey, i love spinach dip. it's a great great thing to eat. so tasty, so yummy. spinach dip and french bread=yummy yummy meal.

alright, we're going to start cooking soon. wish us luck.

i'm sitting in rachel and ishani's room right now, listening to rent with julie and jason and sarah. i think it'll be a fun weekend. me and julie are living in sarah's friends room, and sarah is sleeping in her room with jason crashing in there i think. tomorrow we're waking up and cooking for thanksgiving!! we're having a big big big refugee thanksgiving dinner at ron jin's apartment in chicago. we're in charge of cooking the mashed potatoes and the stuffing. hooray for stovetop! but, we're mashing real potatoes, so it evens out.

so julie is staying in shep with me this weekend, and we are going to get SO MUCH work done it's crazy. i'm glad she's staying-- we can push each other to be productive and have fun at the same time!! craaaaaazy. julie is my roommate and i think she is superfly. she's also a self-proclaimed egg- white on the outside, yellow on the inside. haha. best of all, she learned the word "ddong" today and used it in a sentence. : )

alright. i'm super super tired. five hours of sleep a night for two nights in a row. oh man, i'm tired.

happy thanksgiving everyone, and God bless. this thanksgiving, i thank God for my family, my friends at Northwestern and back home, my heath, good food, and for allowing me to wake up everyday and live in the world He created. i hope you have a wonderful day.

good morning! oh man, am i tiiiiiired. last night, i slept at 3. i had a fun night hanging out with jason and a bunch of dz's. good times. this morning, i woke up at 8 AM (aka butt early) to drive julie to the car place. i reaaaaally need a cup of coffee. yummmmm. coffee.
i have a full day ahead of me! going to work, packing up some crap to take to my sister's dorm for thanksgiving, maybe getting a load of laundry in, driving some people to the airport. i'll let you know how it went.

so, two girls i really miss are gela park and jess ko. i mean, i really miss all the senior girls from last year-- julie, robyn, janet etc. but i rread gela and jess' blogs regularly, and getting that little taste of them makes me miss them more. gela was my unni when i was in d.c, and one of my partners in crime last year. jess was my roommate. we had gooooood times. i don't think i've ever laughed so much in my life. but, i'm very happy cause i'm going to see jess in december!! hooray!!

so gilmore girls last night was goooood. i watched most of it. i really love that show. it's so funny, and so clever, and so well-acted. the writing is just amazing. but one thing i don't like is the way they make fun of korean christian people. not cool, gilmore girls. but i overlook that because the show is just great. and personally-- i'm a Rory and Dean fan. Jess? what a punk.

my commentary on the current headlines from yahoo.com:
• UN inspectors set to start work in Iraq
- hm. go UN. just as long as the US doesn't go attacking or invading.
• Canadian who called Bush 'moron' resigns
- hahahahaha. well, he was RIGHT. hey canadian prime minister! thanks for saying what's on the minds of millions of americans!
• Nigeria writer faces death over pageant story
- i cannot believe this entire situation. what dumbass thought it would be a good idea to put a beauty pageant in nigeria? why would this writer be dumb enough to write that muhammad would probably entire his wives in the pageant if he was around? why would christians and muslims riot over something as dumb as this? just goes to show, religion is something that people always have an opinion about, feel the most passionately about, and are most willing to fight and die for.
• South Korea, Japan top UN education list
- DAMN straight. hahaha. i spent my summer in korea, and i gotta say, the amount the high schoolers study there put me to shame. but on the other hand, their college students by far do not work as hard as the college students here.
• Officials mull who will get sniper reward
- umm.... i dunno either.
• Nicolas Cage, Lisa Marie Presley to split
- the dude who works with sarah reminds me of nicolas cage when he talks.
so that's my recap!!!

i'm a little bored right now. i'm waiting for stinking jason hahn to get here.

jason hahn just called. he's near. hooray! let the thanksgiving party begin!

i was walking along, minding my own business, and then BAM!! winter decided to smack right into us. it's a blizzard out here!! seriously! it's been snowing aaaallll day. it's lovely! i'mmmmm dreeaaaming of a whiiitttteee thanksgiving!
last night i slept at 4 AM, and then i woke up at 9 AM and went to class. class, by the way, was completely useless.
after class i went to work. found out my boss' cat died. she had him for 14 years. poor Tom. she was really really sad.
this afternoon, i drove melissa to o'hare. first time i had ever driven in snow. it was craaaazy. but nice to be driving again.
so that was my day.
oh, and by the way, it stopped snowing
OH, and by the way, Jason "the perfesser" Han is coming to evanston tonight! it's like a like a little of bethel, transplanted to northwestern. hooray!!!

dude, it's almost thanksgiving. my fourth thanksgiving away from home. yesterday, my brother asked me what i was going to do after i graduate. Et tu, Minsoo? as i've told the twnety million people who have asked me that question-- that's a good question. but i have no good answer. this whole trying to decide what i'm going to do after i graduate thing sucks a lot. it's this struggle that goes on for seniors everywhere, throughout all time. it's nice to know that i'm connected to everyone who's ever gone to college by this conundrum of what the crap am i going to do after i graduate. actually, it's not nice at all. anyways, to all those who want to know what i'm doing next year-- i still have no idea. BUT, i do know what classes i'm taking in the winter!

very late. very tired. must sleep. class at 9:30. blaaaah.
papers are my enemy.

I feel like it's been a long day. And it's only the middle of the day! ahhh! I woke up this morning feeling like walking talking ddong-- did I mention that I think I have a cold? Headache, sore throat, the whole shebang. So currently, all of the Yu kids are sick! Crazy! Anyways, I went to work and I actually did work for the entire three hours!! It was so tedious. I like my job most of the time, but today I just wanted to quit and throw all the papers out the window. And then OH MY GOODNESS I was so mad. I went to my jazz class, Miles Davis, with Prof. Kocour (who I absolutely love). Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday of this quarter I go to this class, and sit with Stacie and Tamika in row three, seats 2, 3, and 4. Every single class. I walk in today and THERE ARE THESE DUDES IN OUR SEATS!! What's up with that? Who does that? Don't they know that those are our seats? It just completely threw me off. Ugh. What suckas. To top it all off, it is motha cold outside. Must be in the 30s. Ugh. Oh, and tonight I have chapter and core and I have to finish my stupid paper. Will the madness never cease?
But lest you think I am all whine and no cheese, there are some good things happening today. First of all, my big brother is cool and he knows MAGIC. Internet magic. He's going to make me a template thingy for my blog site! I didn't even know that was possible. I can't even figure out how to add links to this page. But Phil is a smart, and can do these things. If you want to find out more about my creative/intelligent/angry/smelly/passionate big brother, go to www.minsoolove.com. That's his website.
So that's it for now. More later tonight, when I'm writing my paper and looking to procrastinate. : )

Sleep. OH MAN, I'm tiiiiiired. Must sleep. I have written four pages of this paper. I will write four pages tomorrow. Overall, I have had a fairly productive day. Went to church, studied at the library and didn't fall asleep, wrote four pages of my paper.

Oh, and TGFT-- thank goodness for Thanksgiving! WOo HOO! Only a couple more days! AND, Jason is coming up, which is very cool.

Things that I occasionally think about that I want to write about in the near future(if you have any suggestions, let me know): my family, my friends, my home church, my church situation here, why it's crazy/weird to be a senior, my future (or lack thereof), jess ko and gela park, classes this quarter, robot stories, bend it like beckham, sprint pcs, gilmore girls, ben kim and almond roca, harry potter, lord of the rings, electric toothbrushes, why i think i might have mono, northwestern culture, chinese/korean.... the possibilties are endless

So, I have a 8-10 page Intro to Islam paper due Tuesday. I'm trying to actually start a paper earlier than 8PM the night before its due. Pretty novel. Anyways, I'm on the beginning of page two, and realizing just how painful this paper is going to be. First of all, we're supposed to be writing on a visit to the mosque that we went on a couple weeks ago. The entire visit lasted maybe, oh, an hour, with the service being 30 minutes, tops. How the crap am I supposed to write 8-10 pages on that? Grrrrr. As you can probably tell, the reason I am posting this rant is because I'm procrastinating. And as bad as I am at writing papers, procrastinating is something that I'm damn good at.

Hooray, the first post for hannah'sbrainonline! Exciting. As of now, only Emily knows of the existence of this blog. But that will change. Oh yes, it will. Soon, the whole world will be reading the fascinating insights from my crazy little brain.
