New Beginnings

So here I am in Rancho Cordova, CA. Tomorrow I start my new job in Sacramento. I'm going to be a staff counsel for a state agency. I'm totally petrified, and quite sure I'm going to have no idea what I'm doing. On the plus side, apparently that's normal for new lawyers. Wish me luck!

It's kind of strange being here. I'm staying with my aunt and uncle and cousins until I find my own place. After being at home for four years, I'm going to have to find a place, furnish it, and re-learn how to cook. And I'm going to need to make new friends.

But despite being overwhemed by the new things that are going on, I'm excited for a new start. I think it'll be nice to have a change of scenery. Even if the scenery is Sacramento.
