Hannah was walking to Borders on her lunch break, minding her own business. She saw all the dead cidadas on the ground, and all the cidadas flying around, and did her very best to avoid them. She shrieked when a cicada narrowly missed her, but overall managed to steer clear. After walking into Borders, grabbing a magazine and sitting down on a ledge near the windwo, she thought she heard a buzzing. She looked up, and realized it was coming from her. Fear began to grip her heart as she reached her hand back to brush hair away from her neck... and then she felt a foreign MOVING object on her hair and shoulder. Panic set in as she realized a CICADA HAD LANDED ON HER HAIR!!!!!! She jumped up with a shriek, wildly trying to fling it out of her while fighting her natural instinct not to touch it. In her frenzy of panic and fear, she dropped both the sandwich she was about to start eating, and the magazine in her lap. It took only a few seconds for the cicada to be flung away, but time stood still during those dark moments, and it felt like years. She ignored the curious stares and knowing smiles of the people around her as she tried to catch her breath and slow her racing heart. Hannah looked around cautiously as she sat back down, and wondered where IT had gone. She looked behind the ledge, and fear once again gripped her heart as she saw IT lying by the window. She was propelled upward and made a beeline towards the opposite end of the ledge, towards safety and cidada-free reading. Her lunch hour, and her mood, was marred by this disgusting interlude however. Hannah had difficulty concentrating, as she continued to feel like cicadas were on her hair, neck, clothes, etc. Their insidious presence left a mark on her psyche, and she vowed never to leave her hair down again, to be constantly aware of the flying menace, and to keep all parts of her body moving at all times while she was outside as to not provide a target for the red-eyed creatures. BLEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. CICADAS ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOO GROSS!!!
