You know, I'm really not that busy of a person. But I feel like I'm busy. I wonder why that is? I guess the few things that I do make me feel like I'm busy. But really I'm not.
Job update: Still no job.
Man, this weekend was crazy. I went to Chicago, and my travel experience was positively HELLISH. I got to Washington National at 4 PM for my 5 PM flight, and I ended up sitting in the airport until my flight actually departed at 10:30!! Storms in Chicago, storms in D.C. I'm just thankful that I got out. But I didn't end up getting into Evanston till 1 AM, so I didn't get to see my friends, and only got to see Sarah for a little. Sad.
On the bright side, I did get to road trip to Dearborn, Michigan (I think the headquarters of Ford is in Dearborn, cause Ford buildings and American cars were everywhere) with Julie, Meaghan and Ben for Precious and Alan's wedding!! My two buddies from freshman year... the whole NMQ crew was there. It was awesome. These guys have been dating since they were 15, so it was nice to see them tie the knot, surrounded by friends and family. The ceremony was beautiful, Precious was beautiful, Alan looked so happy, the bridesmaids were lovely, and the groomsmen looked good. The reception was at the Ritz-Carlton, and it was sooo nice. Also, open bar=drunk frat boys.
Overall, I had a great time. I'm so happy for Prec and Al. The wedding was great. They are great!!
As great as the wedding was, my overall experience was marred by more horrible travel experiences. While it took us 4 hours to drive there, it took us 6 1/2 to get back on Sunday. We got caught in a lightening/thunder/hail storm. Crazy. Then, when I got to the airport, my flight was delayed, and then cancelled. I headed back to Evanston, and finally left O'hare at 8 AM Monday. I hate airports.
The job search continues. Anyone know anyone who knows anyone? that would be helpful.
Oh, and I watched a TV movie on ABC family called "Lucky 7" or something like that, with Kimberly Williams and Patrick Dempsey. It was great. Sooo cheesy. But i like romantic, cheesy movies. And I decided I'm a huge fan of Patrick Dempsey now. He was so cute in Sweet Home Alabama, and so cute in this. Cute cute cute.
