Here I am! Back at GWU library.... satisfying my craving for news and email. Watching the news just doesn't do it for me. I like to read the news, to get all the details. Plus, it's hard to see how my Giants are doing... I just don't have the patience to sit through all of Sportscenter.

Enough about that. Fun weekend! WOO! Tina, Eun, Els, Al, Kie, Steve and some other folk and me all headed to the Mall for Fourth of July fun. We sat in front of the Washington Monument, facing the Lincoln Memorial. We were so close to the fireworks, the ashes started raining down on us. Except for one minor ash in the eye injury, all went well. It was FREAKIN' hot, but I think everyone survived and got to see an awesome fireworks show. Hooray for D.C.!

Saturday I did some sightseeing with Tina and Els, and then joined everyone for a BBQ at Steve's place. Good times. Good food. Watched Trading Spaces, got to enjoy Wylie's rendition of Bring it On cheers, laughed and reminisced. I don't think I'll be seeing some of those folks for a while, so it was nice to enjoy their company.

Plans for the week: keep job searching! I will not give up hope! While there is still breath in me, I will never stop searching for gainful employment!!
