New York State of Mind
A couple weeks ago I went to New York for a big ol' party reunion birthday weekend. Not only was it JessKo and Suki's birthday, it was also the big book release for HP7, and Phil and Jo were in town for asian stuff. Good times.
TheKnightBus!! It was parked in front of the ScholasticStore in Soho. Freakin' awesome.

Almost time for HP!!

Jo with the SortingHat. She was sorted into Ravenclaw. Phil was sorted into Slytherin.

Almost time!! Waiting in line at BN for HP7. It's a mini NU reunion!!

Victory!! But like most victories, it did not come easily. First, BN UnionSquare was crazy crowded and disorganized and took forever. So we went to Virgin across the square. It sold out while we were in line. Then we went to DuaneReed. Wasn't selling it. Then we went to KMart. Closed. Finally, we reached BN AstorPlace. After a 5 minute wait in a super efficient line, we were in and out, HP7 in our eager little hands! And look who was there to rejoice in HP7 love together- JessKo, me, Jane, Suki (happybirthday!

Hanging out in Central Park- the Yus and the Kims. Phil has his arm around Sarah, who was there in spirit.

I almost helped them get engaged. Almost. Luckily, Betty and Dan still got engaged and married, even without me.

I had a lot of fun. And it was great seeing people I hadn't seen in forever.
