The Year in Review!

2008 was 1/2 fun, and 1/2 bleccccch. So here's my year in review:

January
Started my very last semester of law school, yay!! I also took a fun trip to Seattle to visit cousins.

February
I voted for Barack Obama in the California primary. It felt good. And in hindsight, doesn't matter much that he lost the CA primary, now does it?

March
I went to Korea in March with my parents, brother and sister in law to visit baby sister Sarah in Korea. I had a great time, and felt no guilt about missing an entire week of school.

April
I sat in my last law school class in April! It was pretty neat to be DONE with classes, and (almost) DONE with school.
May
May was a big, awesome month that turned into a terrible, depressing month. First, big brother turned the big 3-0!

Then, I finished finals, donned my cap and gown, and finally graduated from the hellhole we call law school!!! WOOOO!

Oh, and I started studying for the bar exam. That was fairly awful.


June
All I did in June was study for the bar.


July
All I did in July was study for the bar exam.

It was highly painful.


But at least I suffered alongside good friends.

August
After the torment of June and July, August was AWESOME. First up was Emmy's wedding

Next up, a trip to Europe!

Sarah and I started in Paris...


then went to Athens....


... hopped on a cruise to various sites in Greece and Turkey (including the ruins at Ephesus)...


... and especially enjoyed the island of Santorini.

September
September was very very boring. All I did was job search and bum around. However, September was the month that the LOLs began. That's pretty momentous.

October
October was more of September- job search, bum around, and hang out with the LOLs. There were a couple fun things that happened. First, the VP debates. We played Palin bingo.

Election season is one of my favorites. I heart election season. And this one was particularly AWESOME.

Also, in October childhoods were relived when Alice, Olivia, Ahan and I went to the NKOTB concert!!!

Good. Times.

November
November was in many ways like September and October- job search, bumming around, and LOLs. But despite the sucky boringness, there was also awesome funness, and perhaps the BEST EVENT OF THE YEAR.

Timmy got married.

WHAT?! Yup. He got married. Our Timmy got married.

In November, for the first time in my life, the candidate I voted for President of the US actually won.

Yes We Can.

And finally, the BEST EVENT OF THE YEAR. I PASSED THE BAR EXAM!!!!!

December
Although still jobless and destitute, I was sworn in as a member of the California State Bar in December.

On December 23, I celebrated the 15 anniversary of breaking my ankle. I baked a cake in celebration

Aaaaaand, that's 2008. Thanks for me treating me (mostly) well, 2008. I'm looking forward to being employed in 2009.
